The water project in Cholistan desert, Pakistan
KKC, in collaboration with CLMM, FCM and Mr/Mrs Aziz, initiated the "Water Project", in August 2019, for the people living in the Cholistan desert, close to Bahawalpur city, Pakistan. The Hinduism believing Gypsie people living there often got diseases related to dirty water, collected far away. Therefore, we gave them clear drinking water, found by drilling to a deep of 105 feet. The water is delivered by a handpump located right into the village.

In addition, the Hindu people was provided with spiritual water so they never will get thirsty again (John 4:14). The Jesus movie was shown, and Christian Sunday schools for kids and prayer meetings for adults, in two different desert tribes, were established.
As can be seen on the photos above, all children have been provided with "Bible ABCs for kids" and school materials (notebooks, pencils and a white board)
In order to get funding for the children´s school expenses set up of a poultry for selling eggs and chickens is ongoing according the successful model in West Papua in Indonesia
As many of the kids walked around barefoot, and it is actually very cold in the desert during the winter, it was necessary to purchase a bunch of shoes
In the end of the year 120 kids received Christmas gifts, consisting of peanuts and dried fruits (a donation from Simon W), and a 12 years old boy received a wheelchair (a donation from Brother Leif Boman)
In the middle of January 2020, the children living in village #1 participated in KKC´s world-wide painting contest
In the end of January 2020 a KKC painting exhibition was arranged in village #1. The kids paintings of biblical motives were shown for the adults, and biryani was eaten
Brother Lasse and Sister Birgit, both from Sweden, provided each of 12 widows with 10 kg rice
The "Water Project" was ended up March 23, 2020, by a baptizm festival executed in both of the desert villages. All desert people were provided with lunch and candy. The Jesus movie was shown, prayer meetings were held, Mrs Shabana play games with the children, the deser people were provided with Christian literature, and Evangelist Nabeel was preaching.
.....but as it is so fun to cook food, Mrs Aziz taught a couple of women in October 2021, how to make yummy potato pratha, as then was distributed to the hungry kids
